We need a Senior PHP Developer / Web Developer to join an emerging media innovator! Based at the forefront of the new media industry our client is well known for providing a wide range of design and marketing services whilst utilising the latest digital technologies.

Joining as an experienced PHP Developer this position offers you an excellent opportunity to flex your technical as well as personal skills by working with an enviable client list including the likes of: Sony, BBC, Sky, Austravel, IBM and many others.

Working as part of a small team you will be mentoring other team members and have the ability to explain technical concepts simply. You will be responsible for project leadership on concurrent projects whilst managing your own workload effectively. You will also be involved in the pitch process including proposals, estimates and designing solutions, thinking out of the box when necessary. You will have a passion for developing with Open Source technologies and have the experience to know when a simple solution can be as effective as a complex one.

Your CV should highlight the following:

• Solid experience of PHP
• Frameworks and applications, such as Code Igniter and Smarty
• Good JavaScript skills including exposure to DHTML and AJAX technologies.
• XHTML / CSS
• Thorough knowledge of accessibility, W3C and cross-browser compatibility
• XML/XSLT and API’s
• Open source apps (Drupal, Joomla, etc)
• Sound knowledge of Linux systems, particularly Apache, MySql

Ultimately we are looking for an analytical, reliable and self motivated Senior Developer looking to be a part of an exciting, expanding business with a relaxed and fun working environment.
