BUSINESS APPLICATION SUPPORT / BUSINESS ANALYST / UAT TESTER – SLOUGH (REF: RH-000AF7, Closing Date: 21/02/2010)

Joining as a Business Application Support Coordinator (BASC) this role will be primarily a business process orientated role, supporting the use of all business applications. The role is required to act as the interface between the Business Operations Teams, the local Business Unit Teams and the Central Operations and IT Support Teams for new launches and ongoing application support, including fault management, interface file transfer, application & user acceptance testing.

The role requires a thorough understanding of both the business and application processes to facilitate the analysis of issues where the system fails to meet the business requirements, where business changes are required and for new launches. With the main challenge being to maintain a sufficient level of understanding of the changing business processes and application workflows to be able to perform basic business analysis and manage all interdependencies with complex systems.

This role is ideally suited to an individual with:

• Experience in using a high volume enterprise membership system/database such as Siebel).
• Strong experience in UAT testing on a primary business application covering 24/7 contact centre and financial transactions.
• An understanding of Project Management methodologies and/or Business Analysis techniques, in a financial services organisation.

Other skills will need to include an intimate knowledge of the MS product suit including Word, Excel and PowerPoint; excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to communicate at all levels of the organisation and strong attention to detail.

You must be able to demonstrate a mature and balanced approach to resolving issues as you will act as the key interface across many business areas. You must also be first and resilient, whilst able to manage conflict with respect and professionalism.

Based predominantly in Slough, this role will require occasional travel to Portsmouth.
